🪵 Takula (Padauk) Wood Exporter in Cameroon – FOB Douala

Takula wood exporter in Cameroon supplying Padauk hardwood for international buyers involved in furniture manufacturing, interior joinery, flooring, exterior works, and decorative applications. Takula timber, also known as Padauk, is processed in Air-Dried (AD) or Kiln-Dried (KD) condition and shipped under FOB Douala terms with complete export documentation.

Because buyers prioritize color consistency, durability, and legal sourcing, Takula export orders follow confirmed specifications from cutting through vessel loading. Consequently, buyers receive timber that meets agreed quality standards and shipment timelines.

About Takula (Padauk) Wood

Takula, internationally known as Padauk, is a tropical African hardwood recognized for its bright reddish-orange color that darkens naturally over time. Buyers often select Padauk for projects that require both strength and strong visual impact.

In addition, Takula wood offers good resistance to insects and wear. When properly dried, it performs well in both interior and exterior environments. However, due to its density, sharp tooling and controlled drying are essential to achieve clean results.

For these reasons, Takula wood is commonly used for:

  • High-end furniture manufacturing

  • Interior and exterior joinery

  • Flooring and decking

  • Decorative panels

  • Turnery and specialty woodwork

Bold Color Wood That Stands Out in Finished Work

February 24, 2026

I purchased Takula–Padauk from Mbakwood for accent panels and small decorative elements in furniture making. The first thing you notice is the color — very rich and vibrant when freshly cut, exactly what I was looking for to create contrast pieces.

The shipment arrived by sea from Cameroon and was packed securely. After letting the wood acclimate in the workshop, I began processing it. The material is quite hard, so sharp tools are a must, but once prepared, it holds its shape well and feels very solid.

During finishing, the wood responded nicely to oil, bringing out depth in the grain. I did notice the color darkens slightly over time, which is normal for Padauk and something buyers should expect.

Overall, this is a strong and character-rich wood. It’s not for every project, but when you want something that visually stands apart, Takula–Padauk does the job well.

Takula-Padauk con carácter y muy buen acabado

April 13, 2025
