🪵 Acajou d’Afrique Wood Exporter in Cameroon – FOB Douala

Acajou d’Afrique wood exporter in Cameroon supplying high-value African hardwood for furniture manufacturing, interior joinery, cabinetry, veneer, and architectural projects. Acajou d’Afrique timber is processed in Air-Dried (AD) or Kiln-Dried (KD) condition and shipped under FOB Douala terms with complete export documentation.

Because buyers often require uniform color, grain consistency, and stable moisture content, export orders follow confirmed specifications and production schedules. Consequently, shipments remain predictable from processing to port loading.

About Acajou d’Afrique (African Mahogany)

Acajou d’Afrique, commonly known as African Mahogany, is a premium tropical hardwood appreciated for its workability, stability, and attractive reddish-brown appearance. As a result, many buyers select it as an alternative to genuine American mahogany.

In addition, Acajou d’Afrique machines cleanly, finishes well, and performs reliably in interior applications. Although it can also be used outdoors with proper treatment, most buyers prefer it for high-end interior uses.

Therefore, Acajou d’Afrique is widely used for:

  • Furniture manufacturing

  • Interior joinery and doors

  • Cabinetry and paneling

  • Veneer and plywood

  • Staircases and decorative woodwork

Nice African Mahogany with Great Finish Results

January 24, 2026

I ordered Acajou d’Afrique from Mbakwood for a personal woodworking project — mostly cabinet panels and accent pieces. What I liked right away was the color. Once sanded, the wood showed a warm tone that really came alive after finishing.

The boards arrived by sea shipment from Cameroon and were in good condition when unloaded. I let the wood sit in the shop for a short time before working it, and it stayed flat with no major movement, which made things easier.

Cutting and shaping went smoothly, and the wood took stain evenly without blotching. There were a few boards with minor cosmetic imperfections, but nothing that affected the final result once selected properly.

Overall, I’m happy with the quality and would use Acajou d’Afrique again, especially for projects where appearance and finish matter.

Excellent African Mahogany for Custom Woodwork

May 14, 2025

I ordered Acajou d’Afrique from Mbakwood for a set of custom-built furniture pieces and interior trim work. Right away, I could tell this was quality material. The boards had a rich color, consistent grain, and were easy to work with both hand tools and machines.

The shipment came by sea from Cameroon and arrived in good condition. Everything was well strapped and protected, which matters when you’re dealing with hardwood at this scale. Once in the shop, the wood sanded smoothly and finished beautifully, bringing out a deep, warm tone.

What stood out to me was how stable the wood was during fabrication — no unexpected movement, which saved time and reduced waste. Overall, this was a solid purchase, and I’d definitely source Acajou d’Afrique from Mbakwood again for future projects.
