About Tali Wood

Tali is a heavy and durable African hardwood recognized for its exceptional strength and resistance to wear. In particular, it performs well in exterior and high-stress environments where moisture, abrasion, and load are constant factors.

Moreover, Tali offers good natural durability against insects and decay. Although the wood’s density requires robust tooling, experienced processing delivers reliable and stable results.

Therefore, buyers commonly use Tali wood for:

  • Bridges and civil engineering works

  • Exterior decking and heavy flooring

  • Marine and port construction

  • Railway sleepers

  • Industrial and infrastructure projects

Sehr robustes Tali-Holz für anspruchsvolle Anwendungen

September 24, 2024

Tali That Holds Up Under Real Conditions

August 4, 2024

I used Tali wood from Mbakwood for outdoor structural repairs where long-term strength was the priority. The timber was heavy, dense, and felt dependable right from the start.

The shipment arrived from Cameroon by sea and came in good condition. Once installed, the wood showed no movement and handled moisture exposure well. It’s not the easiest material to cut or drill, but that’s the trade-off for durability.

This isn’t decorative wood, and it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s built for hard use, and in that role, it performs exactly as expected.

Hard Timber That You Can Rely On

June 25, 2024

I bought Tali wood from Mbakwood for heavy outdoor work, mainly posts and supports that needed to stay solid over time. This is not an easy wood, but it’s a dependable one.

The shipment came by sea from Cameroon and arrived properly packed. The boards were extremely dense and required pre-drilling, but once installed, everything felt secure and stable. After exposure to weather, the wood showed no signs of twisting or weakening.

Tali is not for decorative jobs or quick projects. It’s for situations where strength and durability matter more than convenience. In that respect, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Strong, No-Nonsense Hardwood That Does Its Job

May 14, 2024

I used Tali wood from Mbakwood for an exterior project where strength mattered more than looks — support beams and heavy framing exposed to weather. This wood is seriously tough, and you feel it the moment you handle it.

The timber arrived by sea from Cameroon and was well secured. Once on site, it proved very stable and dense. Cutting and drilling take effort, but that’s expected with a hardwood like Tali. Once installed, everything felt solid and dependable.

Tali isn’t about fine grain or decorative finishes — it’s about performance. For outdoor or structural use where you want something that lasts, it’s a reliable choice.
